Altering a Mouse Gene Turns Up Aggression

Typically, anything that relates to science will attract my attention. Since I am a Microbiology student I find genetics particularly interesting. This article relates to social behavior and genetic manipulation of laboratory mice. This genetic study was to determine dominant behavior. The mice with a paternal gene Grb10 that has been inactivated tend to show more behavioral differences than the control groups with the Grb10 paternal gene activated.

The inhibition of this gene could be used for a wide variety of studies since the same Grb10 paternal gene is present in the human genome too. could it be possible that this experiment could be significant for future studies of medicine, psycho-therapy as well as immunization vaccines?
