The article I chose to look at was about people searching for their biological parents. The article incorporates the story of a women named Shelley Brown searching for her parents as well. It took a lot of work for Shelley to meet her father because no one would help trace him down and she just didn't know why. Her meeting with her father turned out to be successful in the end but not everyone's meetings turn out that way.

Parents who left their child and never met them could be feeling many emotions when they get contacted by them. Ashamed, guilt or even fear of what could happen and of what did happen when the child was born. Meetings between child and parents are unpredictable, even for both of them.

Some cases adopted kids don't bother looking for their birth parents and consider their adopting parents their mom and dad and wouldn't have it any other way. Some parents who give up their children for adoption end up looking for their kids at a later time.

People believe it should be one's right to find their birth parents or the parents to look for their children. People need to know who they are and where they came from. It can answer the questions in the back of your mind or make one realize they don't need to know.
